Presentación de la plantilla 2016/2017

En el presente curso escolar, tenemos algunas novedades en la plantilla del centro, ya que han llegado  profesores nuevos y otros, como las seños Carmen, Eva y Reyes, se han marchado. La plantilla ha quedado como sigue:

Andrés: tutor de primero de primaria y profesor de plan bilingüe.

Mercedes: tutora de segundo.

Ana María: tutora de tercero y especialista de francés.

Isabel: tutora de 4º y coordinadora del plan de bilingüismo.

Inmaculada: tutora de 5º

Luis: tutor de 6º y especialista de música.

Macarena: maestra de Religión

Fausto: especialista de inglés y Secretario del centro

María Jesús: Maestra bilingüe y Jefa de Estudios

Álvaro: especialista de Educación Física y director.

Además, contamos con la colaboración de Ashley para ayudarnos con el inglés. Es nuestra nueva auxiliar de conversación y viene de Kansas City, Estados Unidos. No os perdáis su presentación!

This school year, we have some news on the center's staff as  new teachers have joint us while  others, such as Miss Carmen, Miss Reyes and Miss Eva, have left. The new staff  is as follows:

EUROPEAN DAY OF LANGUAGES

El pasado 26 de septiembre hemos celebrado por primera vez en el Centro el Día Europeo de las Lenguas. Muy importante para nosotros para poner en valor todas las lenguas que están, relacionadas con nuestro colegio. Hemos elegido para celebrar este día las siguientes: Español, porque es la nuestra.

Inglés, porque es la que estudiamos como segunda lengua

Francés, porque aprendemos francés este año por primera vez en 3º y 5º

Italiano, porque tenemos un compañero italiano y porque es la lengua de uno de nuestros socios europeos.

Esloveno y Letón, porque son las lenguas de los otros dos socios del nuevo proyecto.

Árabe y Portugués, porque tenemos dos compañeras de origen marroquí y brasileño respectivamente en el cole.

Estuvimos investigando el número de hablantes de cada una, en qué países se habla, cómo se dicen algunas frases típicas... luego, cada curso fue a colocar una presentación en el molino que está en el hall de entrada y entre todos coloreamos un gran mapa lingüístico.

This year, for the first time, we held The European Day of Languages. It is very important for us to give value to all languages related to us at school. WE choose the following languages to celebrate that day:

- Spanish, because it is our language.

-English, because it is the one we study as a second language.

-French, because we are learning French this year at 3º and 5º level.

-Italian, as we have an Italian pupil, and because it is the language of one of our European Partners.

-Slovenian and Latvian, because they are the languages of the other two partners in the new project.

-Arabic and Portuguese, because we have two students of Moroccan and Brazilian origin respectively at school.

We researched the number of speakers of each languages in the world, in which countries these languages are spoken, how to say some typical sentences ... Then, each group class placed their presentation at the mill which is in the lobby of the school and together we colour a big linguistic map.

In addition, our activity was published in the digital newspaper BEZ. You can see it in the previous link.

BIENVENIDOS/ WELCOME/ BIENVENUE

Hola a todos  y bienvenidos al nuevo curso escolar en el Colegio Cruz del Campo.

Este curso venimos con las pilas cargadas tras el descanso veraniego y con un motón de ganas y de ilusión por empezar con todas las actividades y proyectos.

Tenemos además muy buenas noticias: “SOMOS ERASMUS” nos han aprobado un proyecto europeo Erasmus Plus; una asociación escolar con otros tres países: Italia, Eslovenia y Letonia.  El tema del proyecto es la igualdad, la inclusión y la atención a la diversidad. Vamos a hacer muchas actividades relacionadas con el tema. Pero además, vamos a tener  la oportunidad de hacerlas con compañeros de estos países, que vendrán a visitarnos en marzo. Y, posiblemente, el curso que viene les  devolveremos  la visita.

Esperamos contar con vosotros. Que sigáis nuestro blog y colaboréis con vuestros comentarios.

Hello everyone and welcome to the new school year at Cruz del Campo School.

This course we come with batteries charged after the summer break and with a lot of desires and enthusiasm to start with all activities and projects.

We also have very good news: "We are ERASMUS"  an European project Erasmus Plus has been approved in our school; It consist of a school partnership with three other countries: Italy, Slovenia and Latvia. The theme of the project is equality, inclusion and attention to diversity. We will do many activities related to the subject. In addition, we will have the opportunity to make with peers of these countries, who come to visit us in March. And possibly, the next course we could also travel to their countries.

We hope to count on you and we hope you to follow our blog and to collaborate with your comments.

Visita al Archivo de Indias y los Reales Alcázares.

Los alumnos de 3º y 4º hicimos una bonita excursión por Sevilla visitando dos de los monumentos más emblemáticos de la ciudad: El Archivo de Indias y Los Reales Alcázares.

En el Archivo pudimos ver una exposición sobre la Fragata Mercedes, hundida durante la guerra  con Inglaterra. El padre de Irene, que trabaja allí, nos lo explicó todo muy bien. En el Alcázar, además de pasear por sus jardines, realizamos un dibujo libre de una escena elegida por nosotros. 

Pupils from 3rd and 4th level went on a nice tour of Sevilla visiting two of the most emblematic monuments of the city : El Archivo de Indias and Los Reales Alcázares.

In the Archivo de Indias we could see an exhibition on the Fragata Mercedes , sunk during the war with England . Irene 's father , who works there, explained everything very well.
In the Alcázar , We could walk through the gardens and we draw a picture about the garden.

Feria del Plurilingüísmo

Este año por primera vez hemos participado en la Feria del Plurilingüismo, cuyo objetivo es el intercambio de ideas y experiencias para llevar a cabo en un centro bilingüe. Es una feria dedicada solamente al profesorado, pero hemos montado un stand con todo el material realizado por nuestros alumnos, dentro del proyecto Etwinning. Además, hemos asistido a ponencias, comunicaciones y talleres muy interesantes. ha sido un éxito de participación!


 This year for the first time we have participated in the Fair Multilingualism. The aim is to  exchange  ideas and experience to perform in a bilingual school. It is a fair dedicated only to teachers, but we have set up a booth with all the material made by our students within the Etwinning project. In addition, we have attended presentations, speeches and interesting workshops. It has been a successful participation.

Pupils from second level have worked on olympic symbols: medals, olympic torchs, olympic rings. .. Here you are their wonderful work.

Feria de las Ciencias

Este año hemos participado por primera vez en la Feria de las Ciencias, celebrada como cada año en el Palacio de Congresos de FIBES. 

Nuestros compañeros de 4º montaron un stand, junto con otros dos colegios, sobre el tema de los camélidos. Quedó muy chulo. Allí se podía conocer curiosidades sobre camellos, dromedarios, llamas…además estaba decorado a modo de “jaima”. Nuestros compañeros lo explicaban muy bien a todos los visitantes que se acercaron al stand. Además, hicimos un recorrido por toda la feria para disfrutar de un montón de experiencias relacionadas con las ciencias naturales. Fue muy interesante y divertido. Además, aprendimos un montón.


 

This year we have participated for the first time at the “Fair of the Science”, celebrated in the Palace of Congress: Fibes. Our collegues of  4th set up a stand with two other schools on the theme of camelids. The result was very cool . There, we could learn interesting facts about camels, dromedaries, llamas ... In addition, it was decorated as an "Arabic tent". The students in charge, explained it very well to all visitors who came to the stan. Apart from this, we did a tour all around  the  lounge to enjoy a lot of experiences related to the natural sciences. It was very interesting and fun. In addition, we learned a lot.

MINI OLIMPYMPICS AT SAN PABLO SPORT CENTRE

El pasado 27 de abril, el IMD (Instituto Municipal de Deportes de Sevilla) organizó las Mini Olimpiadas Escolares, en el Centro Deportivo de San Pablo de Sevilla. En ellas participamos 5 colegios de la zona. Los deportes en los que competimos fueron: futbol sala, baloncesto, balonmano y atletismo. Además, en las instalaciones deportivas, pudimos participar en distintos juegos y actividades.  Hubo una bonita ceremonia inaugural en la que cada colegio desfiló con su pancarta. También hubo una ceremonia de clausura, con la actuación de algunos jugadores de baloncesto profesionales. Las Mini Olimpiadas se publicitaron con un cartel ganador de un concurso celebrado entre todos los centros. El agraciado fue uno realizado por una alumna de 4º de nuestro centro. 

Además, los alumnos de quinto, hicieron folletos explicativos  para facilitar toda la información.

On April 27, the IMD (Municipal Institute of Sports Seville) organized the Mini Olympics School in San Pablo Sports Center in Seville. They participate 5 schools in the area. We competed in: football, basketball, handball and athletics. In addition, in the sports facilities, we were able to participate in different games and activities. There was a nice opening ceremony in which we paraded with banner and torches. There was also a closing ceremony with a performance of some professional basketball players. Mini Olympics were advertised with a winning poster of a contest held among all centers. The winner was  a student of 4^th level of our center. In addition, students in grades five, made brochures to provide all the information.

Día de Andalucía

As every year, we celebrated at school one of our most special days: the day of Andalusia. On the occasion of the 2016 Rio Olympics, each course made a monograph about an Olimpian Andalusian sportist.The selected onces were: 1º LevelBorja Vivas (Shot put) 2ºLevel Kevin Lopez (athletics), 3º Level Adrian Gavira (Bolleyplaya), 4ºLevel, Carolina Marin (Badminton), 5ºLevel Carmen Martin (Handball) 6ºlevel,  Marina Alabau (windsurfing).

Each course presented his protagonist, talking about his biography, description sports, etc ...

In addition, our colleague Alfonso, presented a work of his favorite sports: horse racing. It seems promising ... .who knows, maybe also he  becomes Olympic!

Then, after the presentations of our Olympians, we sang the Hymn of Andalusia. In addition, with the collaboration of some parents, we performed some  popular games in the playground.

Como cada año, hemos celebrado en el colegio uno de nuestros días más señalados: el día de Andalucía. Con motivo de las olimpiadas de Rio 2016, cada curso ha realizado un trabajo monográfico sobre un deportista olímpico andaluz. Los seleccionados fueron:  1º Borja Vivas (Lanzamiento de peso) 2º Kevin López (atletismo), 3º Adrián Gavira (Bolleyplaya), 4º, Carolina Marín (Badminton) , 5ºCarmen Martín(Balonmano)6º Marina Alabau(windsurf)

Cada curso fue presentando a su protagonista; su biografía, palmarés, descripción del deporte, etc…

Además, nuestro compañero Alfonso, nos preparó un trabajo sobre el deporte favorito que él practica: la hípica. Parece que promete….Quién sabe, a lo mejor llega también a ser olímpico!

Luego, tras las presentaciones de nuestros olímpicos, entonamos en Himno de Andalucía. Además, con la colaboración de algunos padres y madres, realizamos juegos populares en el patio.

Pancake´s day

Este año, hemos vuelto a celebrar en el colegio el Pancake´s day con motivo de las vacaciones de Pascua. Todo el colegio pudo disfrutar de las deliciosas tortitas con nata!

This year, we have  again celebrated  the Pancake's Day at school with  occasion of the Easter holidays. The whole school could enjoy the delicious pancakes with cream!

Visita al aeropuerto

El pasado 4 de marzo los alumnos de 5º y 6º visitamos el aeropuerto San Pablo de Sevilla. Allí aprendimos cómo buscar la información de los vuelos en el panel, cómo facturar el equipaje, cómo pasar por el control de entrada… Y también tuvimos la oportunidad de conocer la utilidad de los halcones que se adiestran allí para proteger a los aviones. Además, nos dimos cuenta de lo importante que es saber inglés, porque se utiliza en todos los aeropuertos del mundo!

On March 4 students in grades 5 and 6 visited the San Pablo Airport in Seville. There, we learned how to find the flight information on the panel, how to check luggage, how to go through the input control ... And we also had the opportunity to know the usefulness of the hawks. They are trained there to protect aircraft. In addition, we realized how important it is knowledge of English, because it is used at all airports in the world!

Cerámica

Tras la visita a La Cartuja, los alumnos y alumnas de segundo ciclo hemos realizado un taller de arcilla  en el colegio. Con la ayuda de Irene, la hija de la señorita Reyes, hemos aprendido a modelar y decorar nuestras figuras. Aquí puedes ver el proceso y el resultado.

After visiting La Cartuja, the second cycle  students have done a clay workshop at school. With the help of Irene, the daughter of Miss Reyes, we have learned to shape and decorate our figures. You can see the process and the result in these pictures.

Day of the Fruit

Our school is participating in a program called “Growing in health”.

As part of this program, we have established the “Day of the Fruit”. Every Wednesday our students must take a piece of fruit for the break.   A responsible student in each group will count the number of people who has brought the fruit and will complete the chart “fruitmetre” with the information.  The group  with more points will have a reward at the end of the term.

So, don´t doubt it: have a fruit and be healthy!!!

Nuestra escuela está participando en un programa llamado " Crecer en Salud ".

Como parte de este programa  hemos establecido el "Día de la fruta" . Todos los miércoles los estudiantes deben tomar una pieza de fruta durante el recreo. Un estudiante responsable en cada grupo contará el número de personas que ha traído la fruta y completará la gráfica " fruitmetre " con la información. El grupo con más puntos tendrá una recompensa al final del trimestre.

 Por lo tanto, no lo dudes: toma fruta y mantente sano!!!

Visita al CAAC

This week the students of 3º and 4º  have  visited  the Monastery of La Cartuja , accompanied by our tutors miss Reyes and miss Mª Jesús,  as well as the Miss Isabel and Auxiliary Clara.It was a very interesting visit , as we were able to learn the monastery's history from its origins to the present day. We visited its facilities, including the Museum of Contemporary Art . We also met the Ombu tree , according to legend was planted by the son of Christopher Columbus. And we had the opportunity to design our own dishes La Cartuja that now decorates our school.

Esta semana los alumnos de segundo ciclo hemos hecho una visita al Monasterio de La Cartuja, acompañados por nuestras tutoras María Jesús y Reyes, así como por la seño Isabel y la auxiliar de conversación, Clara.
Fue una visita muy interesante, ya que pudimos aprender la historia del monasterio desde sus orígenes hasta nuestros días. Visitamos sus instalaciones, incluido el museo de Arte Contemporáneo. También conocimos el ombú, árbol que, según la leyenda fue plantado por el hijo de Cristóbal Colón. Y tuvimos la oportunidad de diseñar nuestra propia vajilla de La Cartuja que ahora decora nuestro centro.

Día de la Paz

On January 29 we celebrated  "The Peace Day"at school. Teachers of Art drew a big dove that we all  were filling with our photos . In addition,  students of first and second level prepared works about  people who have dedicated their lives to fighting for peace in the world.

El pasado día 29 de enero celebramos en el colegio el Día de la Paz.

Las maestras de Art dibujaron una gran paloma que entre todos fuimos rellenando con nuestras fotos. Además, los alumnos de primer ciclo prepararon trabajos sobre personajes que han dedicado su vida a luchar para conseguir la paz en el mundo. 

                                                 

Christmas Contest

This school year , we celebrated for the first time a competition of Christmas cards . There was a prize for the best card of each of the groups. The winners were: 

1st level : Lola Pérez

2nd level: Inmaculada Rodríguez.

4th level: Ángela María García 

5th level: Carmen Rivera

6th level: Helena González.  

Furthermore, among them , the winner of the center was elected, which corresponded to the greeting of Irene Alvarez, of the  3rd course .

The winning card was used as greeting of all the educational community center and has been on the cover of the program of Christmas activities. 

Este año, hemos celebrado por primera vez un concurso de tarjetas navideñas. Hubo un premio para la mejor tarjeta de cada uno de los grupos. 

Además, de entre todos ellos, se eligió la  ganadora  del centro, que correspondió a la felicitación de Irene Álvarez, de 3er  curso.

La tarjeta premiada se ha utilizó como felicitación de todo el centro a la comunidad educativa, y ha sido portada del programa de actuaciones de navidad.

Christmas Event

With occasion of the Christmas Season , this year the students of the school have made a series of performances. They were  represented in  the La Ranilla  Theater. Apart from the whole school, the relatives of the students had the chance to attend the event and  enjoy it.  

Con motivo de las fiestas navideñas, este año hemos realizado una serie de actuaciones variadas protagonizadas por los distintos alumnos del colegio. Las representamos en el Teatro de La Ranilla, al que acudieron, además de todo el colegio, los familiares de los alumnos que disfrutaron como espectadores del evento.

Constitución

To celebrate The Constitution Day, every course in the school presented and ilustrated two items of our Constitution to,  gradually,  complete our “Constitution  Book” . After this presentation, students of 4th , 5th and 6th level interpreted with the flute The Hymn of Spain accompanied on the piano by the teacher Luis.

Con motivo de la celebración del día de la Constitución, cada curso  presentó e ilustró dos artículos de la misma para, poco a poco ir completando nuestro libro. Tras la presentación de los artículos, alumnos de 4º, 5º y 6º, interpretaron con la flauta el Himno de España acompañados al piano por el maestro Luis.

Día de la No Violencia de género

On the Day of Non violence , students at the school made a paper doll  with their tutors, which , in a symbolic act , were placed on the floor of the schoolyard in a circle where everyone joined hands  while they repeated aloud : No to Violence !!

Con motivo del día de la No Violencia, los alumnos del centro realizaron con sus tutores un muñeco de papel, el cual, en un acto simbólico, colocaron en el suelo del patio del colegio formando un círculo en el que todos se daban la mano a la vez que se repetía en voz alta: ¡No a la Violencia!
