A GREAT WEEK
From 13 to 17 March we have celebrated what has probably been the
GREATEST WEEK of the school so far. Being such a small center, with a small
number of students and teachers, and being in addition, an only six years old school,
we can proudly say that we have lived up to it. We are referring, of course, to
the reception of our European partners of the European project LAB4SPace of
Erasmus Plus. During the week, we have developed a wide and varied agenda of
scheduled activities. Here is a summary of it.
Del 13 al 17 de marzo hemos celebrado la que probablemente
ha sido la semana más grande de nuestra escuela hasta ahora. Siendo un centro
pequeño, con un bajo número de estudiantes y profesores y además, siendo un
colegio tan joven, de sólo seis años de antigüedad, podemos decir con orgullo
que hemos estado a la altura. Nos estamos refiriendo, como no, a la recepción
de nuestros socios del proyecto europeo
LAB4SPace de Erasmus Plus. Durante una semana, hemos desarrollado una amplia y
variada agenda de actividades programadas. Aquí tenéis un resumen de las mismas:
MONDAY. The first day, we made the reception of the guests in the civic center
of La Ranilla. The performances we prepared were professionals! There was no
lack of a theater on the subject of inclusion, flamenco, contemporary dance or
the hymns of the countries played with the flute and xylophone. Also, in the
afternoon, we enjoyed a fun bike ride through the Parque de María Luisa.
LUNES. El primer día, tuvo lugar la recepción de los
invitados en el centro cívico de La Ranilla. Las actuaciones que preparamos
fueron casi profesionales: hubo teatro sobre el tema de la inclusión, flamenco,
danza contemporánea, los himnos de los países con la flauta y xilófono…También,
durante la tarde, disfrutamos de un divertido paseo en bicicleta por el Parque
de María Luisa.
TUESDAY. On Tuesday he toured
cultural monuments in Seville: Plaza Nueva, City Hall, Reales Alcázares ...
MARTES. El martes dimos un paseo por algunos de los principales monumentos culturales en Sevilla: Plaza Nueva, Ayuntamiento, Reales Alcázares..
WEDNESDAY.
This was the day reserved for visiting the school and doing various workshops
on: fan decoration, game over countries or learning sign language. The 4th,
5th, and 6th students of the center participated in all these workshops with
the foreign students and teachers. It was a, lucrative, motivating and
conscientious experience related to the objectives of our project. Also, in the
afternoon we were welcomed in the center of the ONCE of Seville, where we lived
an extraordinary experience, putting us in the skin of the blind people.
MIÉRCOLES. Este era el día reservado para visitar la
escuela y realizar diversos talleres: decoración de abanicos, juego sobre
países o aprendizaje de lengua de signos. Los alumnos de 4º, 5º y 6º del centro
participaron en todos estos talleres con los estudiantes extranjeros y sus
profesores. Fue una, experiencia lucrativa y motivadora relacionada con los
objetivos de nuestro proyecto.
Por la tarde nos recibieron en el centro de la ONCE de
Sevilla, donde vivimos una experiencia extraordinaria, poniéndonos en la piel
de las personas ciegas.
THURSDAY. We returned to celebrate activities in our center, but this
time the protagonists were the guests, who offered us presentations that had been
worked in their respective schools. In addition, we voted for the official logo
of our project: Carmen Rivera, 6th, was elected. In addition, this day we played
sports games in the playground to encourage
inclusion and get to know each other better. In the afternoon, they made a little
more cultural visit: this time it was the turn of Las Setas and the Antiquary.
JUEVES. Volvimos para celebrar actividades en nuestro
centro, pero esta vez los protagonistas fueron los invitados, que nos
ofrecieron presentaciones que habían sido previamente trabajadas en sus respectivas
escuelas. Además, votamos entre todos el logo oficial de nuestro proyecto:
Carmen Rivera de 6º curso, fue la ganadora. También este día hicimos juegos
deportivos en el patio de recreo para fomentar la inclusión y a conocernos
mejor.
Por la tarde, realizamos una visita cultural: esta vez fue
el turno de Las Setas y el Anticuario de la Encarnación
FRIDAY. The week ended with an early morning: at 6.30 in the morning we
went by bus to the National Park of Doñana, and after visiting this unique
place, we enjoyed a few hours of sunshine on the beach of Matalascañas. We made
the farewell with a dinner whose final “finishing touch” was a flamenco show.
But, what we must emphasize in
these lines is that all these activities mentioned above are only a small part
of what has been done. As it is said, they are only the tip of the iceberg. All
the real work: the one of before, during and after, is not seen. It is the
silent and constant work of all the teachers of the school, who, without being
artists, choreographers, travel agents, decorators, musicians, or transporters
... have put their time, effort and work to make everything as well as possible. We also want to highlight
the work of those parents who have supported us and helped us at all times. And
of course, the collaboration of our students, who are our first and last
objective. They have been the best ambassadors all week, and have made us feel
that all the effort has been worth it.
VIERNES. La semana terminó madrugando. A las 6.30 de la mañana salimos en autobús en
dirección al Parque Nacional de Doñana, y después de visitar este singular
lugar, disfrutamos de unas horas de sol en la playa de Matalascañas.
La despedida tuvo lugar en el hotel, con una cena cuyo "toque
final" fue un espectáculo flamenco.
Pero lo que de
verdad no podemos dejar de destacar en
estas líneas es que todas estas actividades mencionadas anteriormente son sólo
una pequeña parte de lo que se ha hecho: son sólo la punta del iceberg. Todo el
trabajo real de antes, durante y
después, no se puede ver. Es el trabajo silencioso y constante de todos los
profesores de la escuela, que, sin ser artistas, coreógrafos, agentes de
viajes, decoradores, músicos o transportistas... hemos puesto nuestro tiempo,
esfuerzo y trabajo para hacerlo todo lo mejor posible.
También queremos destacar la labor de aquellos padres que
nos apoyaron y nos ayudaron en todo momento. Y por supuesto, la colaboración de
nuestros alumnos, quienes son nuestro primer y último objetivo. Han sido los
mejores embajadores durante toda la
semana y nos han hecho sentir que todo el esfuerzo ha valido la pena.
